2nd Annual Triathlon

This was my second year participating in the Super Sprint Triathlon (1/4 mile swim, 8 mile bike, 2 mile run). Cherie wasn't able to do it this year so I convinced my wonderful, beautiful friend Suzette to do it with me. (Her first time and she did great!)

We had a great time.

Last year was so hot and this year was the other extreme.

It was a little daunting, as our teeth chattered, getting in the water for start time, but fortunately the water at Rancho Seco is warm and by the time you swim 400 meters you are no longer cold. The wind was a factor, so I didn't have as good a time this year, even though I felt like I did better. But it sure was good running (okay, jogging and trying not to collapse) weather!

After the race, feeling good. Can't wait for next year!
