We've had an interesting February so far this year. Rachel and I had the flu at the beginning of the month. I was finally feeling better on the Monday before Valentine's Day, so I helped the kids cut out some hearts to decorate the front windows. We were just starting to put the hearts up when Ben said, "I can't stand up Mom." So I told him to go lay down on the couch for a little while. It only took about five minutes before he was out.
So Rachel and I finished putting up the hearts and taking pictures while Ben slept through the beginning phases of a fever, sore throat, body aches, etc.
Things didn't get much better for the actual holiday. Bryan and I had plans to go out to dinner but Bryan had been suffering from a sore throat all week and it hadn't improved yet. So I was going to make something at home and we were going to spend a quiet evening together, but I ended up in Urgent Care with Rachel from 7-10pm. She ended up having an ear infection. Fun times. The next day Bryan finally decided to go to Urgent Care for his throat and he had strep throat. I felt pretty badly that he had suffered all week and even taught his gospel doctrine class in such pain. I'm glad he finally got it taken care of. A make-up Valentine's Dinner is planned for this weekend, so we'll keep our fingers crossed!
